MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers announced Wednesday its newest member network, the Council of Remanufacturing Excellence (CoRE).

MEMA states CoRE brings together the expanded resources of MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers and two legacy peer group councils: Remanufacturing Business Council and Remanufacturing Technology & Operations Council. Through their participation in CoRE, MEMA states remanufacturers and their suppliers in the automotive and commercial vehicle aftermarket will have a focused platform and greater access to the value within their membership group — MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers.

"MEMA has a long history of serving the needs of executives and professionals in the remanufacturing community," says John Chalifoux, COO, MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers and Chief Sustainability Officer, MEMA, The Vehicle Suppliers Association. "As the world's attention on sustainability and the circular economy continues to grow, the Council of Remanufacturing Excellence is well-positioned to meet the evolving needs of our members."

"The formation of CoRE and its executive committee represent a pivotal moment for the remanufacturing community," says Nikki Rankin, director, Councils & Engagement, MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers and CoRE lead. "By combining our efforts and expertise, we're better positioned to drive sustainable practices and foster innovation within the industry."
